EPACENTER is on a mission to empower youth through the fusion of art, design, technology, and culture, right in the heart of East Palo Alto. As the Special Projects and Partnership Manager, I'm excited to contribute to EPACENTER's commitment to nurturing creativity, fostering innovation, and providing opportunities for the youth to thrive within the creative atmosphere of East Palo Alto.

I lead an organization that teaches K-8 students creativity, compassion, communication, and collaboration through hands-on service learning, STEM and enrichment activities. I directed a comprehensive three-week summer program for 120 students, overseeing all aspects from recruitment, fundraising, curriculum development, daily operations, and staff training. Our innovative approach focuses on empowering young leaders to become mentors and agents of change in their community.

As Senior Manager of School Programs & Partnerships at The Primary School, I established and managed high-quality community partnerships and designed and supervised both in-person and remote after-school programs serving 250 students in preschool-5th grade. I recruited, trained, and managed a team of after-school staff, full-time enrichment teachers, and over 250 volunteers. Additionally, I managed school events, office operations, parent communications, and student recruitment and registration.Recently promoted to design the schools middle school enrichment program.

Developed and expanded literacy mentorship programs that supported 87% of students in increasing their literacy levels by at least half of a grade level.Led the full recruitment cycle for senior and entry-level roles, utilizing various sourcing strategies and managing the entire recruitment process, from talent acquisition and resume screening to interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.

Directly managed and prioritized the calendars, expense reports, communications, and confidential correspondence of the CEO, CFO, and other top executives. Leveraging their time and energy, I maximized efficiency and effectiveness within the team.

Managed multiple school and corporate partnerships, providing middle school students with engaging career exploration and self-discovery opportunities. I fostered relationships with six partner companies, including Google, Facebook, and Sony, through networking, direct outreach, mentor training, and on-site program facilitation. By organizing events that engage over 300 students, families, and corporate participants, I secured sponsorships and effectively communicated program goals to diverse stakeholders. Overall, my efforts contributed to a meaningful learning experience for students, while also establishing long-lasting partnerships with companies committed to education and youth development.

As a Regional Program Manager at the Ruhi Institute, I oversaw the implementation of comprehensive educational programs focused on literacy, character development, and service learning for individuals across Northern California. I strategized and managed initiatives tailored for adults, youth, and children, fostering a dynamic learning environment that empowers personal growth and community engagement.I successfully led recruitment and outreach efforts to expand a service-learning program across 35 cities in Northern California, increasing program participation by 18% in two years. I also managed a team of 27 county program coordinators and 50+ full-time and 400+ part-time volunteers, providing support through organizing and facilitating professional development seminars, program site visits, and performance reviews. In addition, I established relationships with 13 schools throughout the Bay Area to expand and implement the program. Through my leadership and dedication, I helped to create meaningful service opportunities for youth and empower them to make a positive impact in their communities.

Researcher for establishing a program that connects youth to existing community programs and organizations in relation to their career goals and life aspirations.

Conducted and analyzed 100+ interviews with youth, parents, and organizations to research trends in youth career goals and life aspirations. Using these insights, I developed a youth program that aimed to connect young people with local career opportunities in the Triangle, North Carolina. In addition, I also managed the cultivation of crops on a nonprofit educational farm, contributing to the efforts to address the challenges of food insecurity, healthy food access and economic well-being inequity in the refugee and immigrant community.

Oversaw the training, operations, expansion and quality of the program, where mentors empowered 12-15 year olds to analyze, serve, and transform their community. I successfully scaled the program 5x across Contra Costa County. In addition, I developed a curriculum for and organized a series of multi-day summer camps for youth over three years focused on service-learning, media literacy, self-image, and health with up to 100 attendees at each session. I also collaborated with Shelter Inc. branches in Martinez and Antioch to develop programs and activities for youth and children in emergency or transitional housing, providing them with a safe and supportive environment.
