Interiors EngineeringDesigned components for M3 and MY Instruments panel; managed and participated in various cross functional engineering projects. Detail:- Design lead for model 3 cross car beam (CCB), managed the project from scratch to tool kick off.--- Developed a unique in the market ‘hybrid’ steel stamped and injection molded CCB.--- More than 40% cost reduction! by redesign of the CCB, translates into approx 10m usd yearly savings.--- The project involved ample cross functional teamwork, active negotiation, methodical geometry/material/supply chain optimization. - Developed a should cost model for quick cost estimation of design changes. --- Developed a model based in historical data from various stakeholders: suppliers, internal finance department and supply chain teams. --- Parameters considered included materials, volume, surface area, manufacturing method and complexity, region where manufactured and assembled as well as additional supply chain costs (like purchased components and logistics). - Involved in several other projects requiring material handling and planning for different teams as well as designing some smaller structural parts, overseeing and improving the quality of A-class surface components. - Volunteered for car deliveries and organizing team building activities :) in my own time.
