About Vidhur Seshadri

My passion for biotechnology and medical oncology drives me to innovate novel diagnostic solutions for various diseases and conditions. As a Research Scientist at Cepheid, I lead, plan, perform, and analyze data for various projects involving PCR and ddPCR, two of my core competencies. As for ddPCR, it was my responsibility to set up and optimize the technique for internal usage as well as constantly have a communication with the vendor in case of any troubleshooting. Apart from that, I had the responsibility of tutoring my colleagues about the technique. I also interpret and present the data to internal and external stakeholders, using effective communication and visualization skills. My education background has equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue my research interests. I obtained a Master's degree in Applied Biotechnology from Uppsala University, where I worked on a project in the field of medical oncology and radiation sciences. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Anna University. My previous experiences as a Laboratory Scientist at AstraZeneca as well as ABC Labs, where I learned about high-throughput analysis methods, intercultural work environment, knowledge transfer, and process improvement. I am always curious to learn new topics and skills that will broaden my horizons and enable me to contribute to the advancement of biotechnology.
