I have been tuning in for a living since 1999, when I got my first job as an RJ with the venerable AIR FM Chennai. Since then, I have worked as an advertising executive, communication planner, brand consultant, new media evangelist and insight specialist. And I have helped start up three ambitious India ventures so far.Tuning in is the simplest strategy I applied along the way. It helped me make a highly motivating flip on an everyday basis, from thinking big to thinking tiny. This was especially valuable when starting up glocal agencies, businesses and teams from scratch. Or indeed when working on cross market innovation, new market entry, premiumization, category creation, mindset and behaviour change, cultural diagnostics and design. And most importantly, it helps make sense of rapidly transitioning markets like India, China, South East Asia and Africa. I found that opportunity always lurks in the telling little details, the tiny data and design of life - and this is why I founded hyprlocl Design Thinking.
