Hi, I am an architect and urban designer with 15 years of working experiences in the global portfolio in planning, design, and built industries, i.e.: 19 Floors Latumenten apartment for approximately 1100 low-middle income families to deal with the housing shortage in Jakarta, Indonesia (built-project); Mixed-use Housing Development in Gurgaon, India (built-project); Redesign Dubai Festival City Mall, Dubai (built-project); Mixed-use Housing Blocks for mixed-incomes-families in one development to deal with extreme cold weather in Huai-An, Zheng-Zo Gateway, Meijing Long Tang, China (professional projects); Reclaiming Post-Industrial Landscape in Vilvoorde, Brussels North, Belgium (student-project); Regenerating Post-Mining Landscape in West Rand, South Africa (research-project); Water-Urbanism in South-Borneo, Indonesia (research-project); Lusail Masterplan, Qatar to deal with multi-cultures living and temperature (built-project); and Okmeydani Masterplan, Istanbul (Professional Project). After fulfilled 1-year study in Master of Human Settlements, KU LEUVEN, Belgium focusing on Housing, Settlements, Strategic Spatial Planning and Development, and graduated cum laude, I decided to return to Indonesia to take an active role as an architect, lecturer, urban designer, and young expert for the government. Moreover, having experience joining as a facilitator and field researcher in Water-Urbanism in South Kalimantan together with professionals from UN-Habitat, students, and professors from KU Leuven has encouraged me to have more collaboration in the research-based project, planning, and policy. I have developed a canvas and guideline for rural community planning and assisted rural communities in some provinces and islands in Indonesia to develop community-based planning. As an architect, young expert, and urban-rural planner, I have a vision that in the future we will have more sustainable urban and rural areas in Indonesia (82.190 rural areas in Indonesia itself) and other countries that are well-connected by technology and good infrastructures, supported by right policy, planning and design, developed with considering its own character and have beneficial-cooperation among the villages in national and global corporations. As a researcher, I will continue to develop a research-based project focusing on human settlements and sustainable urban and rural planning and development. And moreover, fostering more young experts and leaders in spatial design, planning, regulation, and policy in urban and rural areas is my ideal as a lecturer.
