Development, Support, and enhancements for server-side part of HP's PC based Applications. Project Lead for Redesigning the Redirection Services application. This involved merging the Compaq and HP's redirection services with a new architecture that would accommodate more types of Redirection services. Also migrated the application from HP-UX to Linux, and redesigned the architecture to use Weblogic clustering.

Designed and developed the business logic layer for a Billing software. The web-based solution used Java Servlets and JSPs as the frontend and EJBs in the business logic layer. Architected and designed the Business Logic Layer for the Rating Module. Helped integrate the UI with the Business Logic layer.Worked on Websphere Server with Oracle8i, using VisualAge for Java as IDE.

Icarian provided a web-based staffing solution for the HR dept of companies. I was responsible for development of the Control Module, which interfaced with the UI and the Business Logic layers. Also participated in the design of the WorkFlow model which used JMS. Worked on integrating the UI, Control Module and the Business Logic Layer, helping the whole system to work seamlessly from end to end.

Java Re-engineering project for AIG - This involved converting a mainframe Legacy system to make it web-enabled and Intranet based. The backend remained untouched with DB2 on a mainframe platform. The work involved server-side programming to create an interface to the DB2 at backend. Led a team of 15 persons. Also coded a significant part of servlets, with JDBC for connection with DB2 database.Setting up Software Quality Process for American ExpressStudied the existing system and quality procedures. Defined process standards and setup implementation plan for the Quality Control function.Production Support for Mervyns - On-call production support, defect fixing and providing enhancements to the supported functions. Was responsible for the analysis, design and implementation for the Reporting Week Change.
