I have spent a little over a decade working in developing service delivery models using technology to bridge gaps in audiology services in the underserved regions of South India. Through the Wellcome Trust-DBT India Alliance Clinical and public health fellowship (2020-25) I am pursuing translational research in tele-practice applications in audiology and speech-language pathology services in collaboration with the public sector services in Tamil Nadu. I established the SRESHT lab (see link https://sites.google.com/sriramachandra.edu.in/sresht-sriher-ia-slhs-lab/home) in 2021 to fulfill my work in translational research in telepractice. I also received the Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Professional Research fellowship in 2014 and pursued PhD in the area of tele-audiological application in rural newborn hearing screening programs in South India, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research. I have had several other minor projects that supported judicious integration of technology to enhance or support service delivery in remote rural areas. I was awarded the “International Clinician Recognition Award” by the Asian Indian Caucus of the American Speech and Hearing Association (2018). I also received the NIH sponsored “New investigator award” at the 3rd International Conference on Internet and Audiology, KY, USA in 2017. I am a registered practitioner with the Rehabilitation council of India (A08675), life member of Telemedicine Society of India (LM-0314), Indian Speech and Hearing Association (L-1093), and a full member of the International Society of Audiology (4716). I actively participate in the meetings of these societies and contribute to professional development. I have published several papers in international journals in my area of expertise. Orcid ID
