As the Head of Business Automation, my primary responsibility lies in maximizing the potential of our esteemed colleagues while simultaneously optimizing Södra's processes across the entire value chain.In my capacity, I bear full accountability for the department, encompassing personnel, budget, strategy, and implementation. As an IT line manager, I hold a position on the IT execution management board, contributing to the collective decision-making and direction of the IT initiatives.As an active participant in defining the overarching IT and Business Automation department strategies, my approach is distinguished by establishing a clear direction, providing motivation, and facilitating obstacle removal when necessary.My primary role at Södra and dedication to our members center around driving continuous process improvement, yielding significant time and cost efficiencies while fostering the creation of new value

Södra is Sweden's largest member organization for forest owners with more than 50,000 members. The process extends from seeds and plants to forest management and sawn timber or pulp. Meaning long and complex processes involving a lot of people. At Södra, I am responsible for the Business Automation Program. This means that I work closely with stakeholders, my team, and business managers to prioritize initiatives most valuable for Södra as a whole. In addition, I make sure that the strategy aligns with Södra's overall strategy, and that the road map and capabilities of the team are aligned. Moreover, I explore new technology within the field and enforce the overall architecture and technology.I'm leading a group of about 10 people, including 6 full-time employees touching more or less all business areas of Södra. We use agile methodologies in 2-week sprints in the BusOps operating model. Moreover, the program has KPIs and goals with direct reports to the overall Södra strategy.A direct result of my efforts within the automation domain is saved time, increased quality, and increased customer satisfaction to name a few. Other positive effects include improved sustainability, higher creativity among coworkers, and reduced stress.

I embarked on my journey at Södra in early 2019 as a developer and have since assumed the responsibility of establishing and developing the Business Automation function.I quickly advanced by taking ownership of the roadmap, technical architecture, lifecycle, stakeholder communication, and other crucial aspects, akin to nurturing an internal startup.

In my role as Development Manager at DataPartner, I had overall responsibility for the development department. In 2015, I was invited to become a shareholder in the company.The job responsibilities included technical client meetings, requirement specifications, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.I also had the responsibility for DataPartner's internal IT strategy and operations.
