As an educator, Viet has been spending a decade working relentlessly with children and youth in different settings in Vietnam, using education as a tool for empowerment and liberation of individuals and communities. After years of supporting children in underserved regions of Vietnam to access quality and equitable education through library programs, since 2015, he has found Dream&Do School for Future Changemakers, an education center that practices and promotes pedagogies for socio-ecological transformations. Since then, his school has empowered hundreds of young children to become community youth leaders, social change makers, environmental advocates through different non-formal educational programs. Currently, his focuses are researching on educational inequities and advocating for application of restorative practices in Vietnam's public school system.
