Globalization:The majority of my career has been focused around globalization; developing new markets, off-shoring production, finding suppliers in low cost countries and optimizing the company network by utilizing the strengths of various sites, resource pools and cultures.Entrepreneurship:I have launched several new businesses; when Danfoss established sales of refrigeration and industrial controls and components in Poland back in the mid 90s, establishment of the Danfoss sales company in the Philippines, establishment of a joint-venture between Danfoss and it’s main Japanese competitor Saginomiya with manufacturing of one of the key product families in Poland and sales of the entire Saginomiya product range into Europe and lastly the creation of an entirely new global business bringing leading-edge variable speed compressor technology to the market for commercial air-conditioning.Sustainable improvement culture:A key focus for me has always been development of the organization and raising staff competencies. Elements hereof are to devise a clear and easy to understand strategy, clarify roles and responsibilities of direct reports and then work towards wide empowerment supported by continuous coaching and follow-up. This approach has helped ensure continuous improvement in the organizations where I have worked, which did not hinge on me driving it. In addition it has largely contributed to employee satisfaction and motivation, which again stimulate performance.As part of my career I was stationed 11 years outside of Denmark, which along with a lot of local knowledge also gave me a valuable benchmark of strengths and weaknesses of “the Danish model”, culture etc. helping improve my decision making in all sorts of foot-print issues.Cell phone: +45 2894 8460.
