They say that learning always begins at "Home". Something which is aptly true in my case. It would sound like an exaggeration when I say my that my entire family is from the "Shipping Fraternity" (well, apart from a few exceptions here and there), but it is a fact. Therefore, my curiosity in shipping was intrigued from a young age which led me to further pursue this interest by building my foundation and paving my way by means of an education.I am a Master's Degree holder in Transport and Logistics from IUBH, Bad Honnef, Germany, with an exemplary score on my thesis. The focus was on pricing strategies which helped me create a perfect balance between the theoretical and real-life scenarios in the container shipping industry.Prior to my studies, I worked for four years in the container shipping industry as a senior sales executive, specifically in the Middle East - South Asia trade route. Transportation costs can contribute to a minimum of more than 20% of the total cost of a product. For this reason, I have helped numerous customers reduce their logistic expenses by providing cost efficient solutions in shipping a variety of cargoes especially project cargoes such as out of gauge (O.O.G) to and fro Asia - Middle East in the shortest possible time.Inter-modal transportation, developing different pricing tactics for volatile markets, business negotiation, intercultural competencies, stakeholder management as well as excellent communication skills attribute to my forte areas of expertise.
