As a recent MSc structural engineering graduate from Swansea University, I am extremely passionate about sustainable design practices, and during my master's program, I completed a project on "Improving the sustainability of a commercial project through design, management, and construction practices." I was happy to be a part of this project as it serves a purpose and provides environmental benefits to society. I have a strong foundation in structural engineering principles and software, such as AutoCAD and Revit. There has never been a day off for me from not learning structural basics. I worked on residential projects as a junior site engineer/ design engineer for 10 months at SRI DEVI BUILDERS. During this time, I managed three projects simultaneously, ensuring they were completed on time and within budget. I collaborated with a team of structural engineers during the project planning phase to gain a thorough understanding of the project requirements and objectives. I also immersed myself in the specifics of certain 2D design plans. In addition to project management, I acted as a liaison, creating effective lines of communication between project teams, clients, and myself. Through this role, I addressed customer queries and issues, bridged communication gaps, and ensured client satisfaction throughout the project. This experience helped me improve my verbal communication skills and sharpen my ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
