The CAN bus part of this project taught me valuable hard skills related to CAN bus and embedded programming. Upon reflection, there are various aspects to this project that I would approach differently given another chance:1. Completing the project through COVID, I came to appreciate the fragility of global supply chains, when a major component of the build ran out of stock globally, causing delays with delivery and issues down the line. I came to appreciate that component substitutions can have negative effects down the line, and the importance of supply chain planning. 2. The requirements of the end user were miscommunicated between the 3 parties involved, and only came to light after the issues arose. Upon reflection, it would have been beneficial to the project if I potentially requested to discuss the customer's requirements with them directly. QFES Tesla Model 3Pioneered a solution for the customer that allowed integration of CANGOEE batteries with the Tesla Model 3.Analysed the Tesla Model 3 CAN bus data and integrated this with our Input/Ouput Module to allow charging of the CANGOEE battery while the vehicle battery is charging, and to send other vehicle information to other modules.
