Created and led the Global Sourcing Office (GSO) in Atlanta, GA and the offices in India and Vietnam. Worked closely with our GSO office in China. Led a global team of 10 FTEs in three countries that worked with our seven business units on cost reduction, productivity projects, aggregation projects, e-sourcing projects and national contracts. • Completed 54 projects with estimated savings of $4.0M and a pipeline of 84 projects with more than $4.3M in savings. Total annualized spend of more than $60M.• Identified over 150 new potential suppliers in India, Vietnam and Thailand. • Responsible of the Procurement Council, group formed by the business units’ Procurement Leaders, that worked on best practice sharing, indirect procurement and spend aggregation.• Supporting business units on sales growth opportunities in Emerging Markets.

Managed $3.0M budget and led a team of 30 people. Responsible for the Global Sourcing Strategic team and the sourcing offices in China and India. Activities included: supplier id, qualification, management, contract negotiations and the execution of sourcing services with our Clients including new products. • Overall management of $20M of internal purchases and over $30M of Customer purchases in Asia. • Executed sourcing projects on more than $100M with eight Clients. • Averaged 20% savings by applying the sourcing principles (i.e. planning, spend analysis, opportunity assessment, demand aggregation, supplier assessment, negotiations, fulfillment, contract management, etc.)• Worked on Chrysler LLC electric vehicle prototype project identifying and qualifying LCC suppliers; identified over 250 suppliers. • Commodity categories managed include a very diverse range, e.g. automobile battery components, construction material, components for the oil and gas industry; trailer and towing products; material handling equipment, steel fabrications, wire products for retail, computers, tires and industrial tooling.

• Responsible to lead Lean efforts (waste elimination, value identification, flow) throughout Wind Energy and identify opportunities to reduce current cost of quality. • Managed and led several successful teams on Lean initiatives, among the results are: 46% (66 days) cycle reduction in design change implementation; 15% Cost of quality reduction on wind turbine blades; 32% Wind turbine installation cycle reduction.• Coordinated the Wind Lean Showcase project ($27MM impact), with teams working on Lean opportunities in Logistics, Installation, Commissioning, Services and Allocation. • Achieved Lean Qualification.

• Lead the Business Sourcing teams on fulfillment (On time delivery, backlog reduction, promise accuracy, etc.)• Drove an overall 33% late backlog reduction throughout 10 GE Energy businesses in one year. • Led various teams on specific fulfillment project achieving extraordinary results: 73% improvement on deliveries from a critical commodity; 150% improvement on promise accuracy on a troubled critical supplier; over $60MM of missing inventory identified on 7 suppliers around the world in few weeks.• Improved fulfillment focus by implementing the “proactive approach” to focus on delay prevention, not only overdue items resolution; and the “compression analysis” to analyze items released with compressed (short) cycle that strain the supply chain.• Successfully hired and trained 19 outsourced resources from India to support the Global Sourcing organization; developed the processes for them to support all businesses on the fulfillment strategy.

Managed the Sourcing Performance Leaders SWAT Team (10) assigned to support Energy Services.• Led team to reduce late backlog in 88% (from 7584 orders to less than 900) in 2 years.• Developed and implemented a tool to identify fulfillment opportunities; 40% improvement in performance in the first month of using the tool and subsequent improvements in the following months.• Mentored over 70 Six Sigma projects that led to process improvement at suppliers.• Created metrics for the Services business to monitor the performance of their supplier base achieving 94% improvement on overdue promised PO’s and 99% improvement on overdue requisitions.
