I currently live in Tacoma, Washington, where I attend Green River Community College and serve as an assistant Arts & Entertainment Editor for the campus newspaper, The Current. College experience includes multiple journalism, creative writing, and history classes.Pre-college experience includes a year working for the Trojan Tribune, a small student-run newspaper sponsored by Girard High School in Southeast Kansas and simultaneously published with the Girard Press. Honors from my time at the Trojan Tribune include First Place in both Editorial Cartoon and Newspaper Sports Writing in an area competition, as well as Honorable Mention for Editorial Cartoon in at State newspaper competitions.Work experience beyond the Trojan Tribune included volunteer work for the city of Oskaloosa, Kansas. Additionally, I've worked extensively with the Girard Animal Hospital as part of their animal care team and consequently work well with both animals and their human caretakers. Currently, I work at Gamestop as I search for career opportunities in games journalism.Specialties: Story-writing, technical writing, editing, speech, preview and review writing, concept art, historical investigation and fact-checking, editing, storyboards, editorial writing.
