JYU.Wisdom is a scientific community actively promoting planetary well-being. JYU.Wisdom's activities include progressive research, education development, impactful societal interaction, and support for sustainability work of the University of Jyväskylä.My duties at JYU.Wisdom are focused on development and coordination of the events, communication, and administration of the community. In addition, I manage co-operation with the internal and external stakeholders, and participate in the editorial work of publications.

Palveluneuvojana vastasin Kolin luontokeskus Ukossa Itä-Suomen kansallispuistojen ja muiden retkeilykohteiden asiakaspalvelusta, opastuksesta, viestinnästä, varaustupien hallinnoinnista, ja luontokeskuksen myymälän hoidosta. Lisäksi työtehtäviin kuului Luontoon.fi -sivujen kehitys ja sisällöntuotto, yhteydenpito paikallisiin yrittäjiin sekä tapahtuminen suunnittelu ja järjestäminen.

Kehitin ja toteutin asukaskyselyt, joissa selvitettiin Jyväskylän kaupungin metsien virkistyskäyttöä ja saavutettavuutta sekä asukkaiden metsiin liittämiä arvoja. Lisäksi tuotin kaupungin metsiin väliaikaisia pop-up luontopolkuja kesäksi 2019.Hyödynsin asukaskyselyjen aineistoja sekä pop-up luontopolkupalautteita kulttuuriympäristön tutkimuksen maisterintutkielmassa, jossa tarkastelin Jyväskylän kaupunkimetsien koettua saavutettavuutta ja siihen vaikuttavia tekijöitä. Tutkielmasta sain arvosanan 5/5 (erinomainen).Tutkielma osoitti, että kotia lähellä sijaitseva metsä motivoi asukkaita eniten virkistäytymään luonnossa. Suurimpina haasteina kaupunkimetsien saavutettavuudelle pidettiin metsäisten kävelyreittien puutetta talvisin sekä tiedonpuutetta siitä, miten kaupunkimetsiin pääsee. Lisäksi rakentamisen koettiin pirstaloivan olemassa olevia kaupunkimetsiä sekä katkovan kulkureittejä. Huolta ja epätietoisuutta aiheuttivat myös metsänhoitotoimenpiteet. Koneellisten harvennusten sekä avohakkuiden koettiin heikentävän kaupunkimetsien vetovoimaisuutta. Asukkaiden suhdetta omiin lähimetsiin varjosti pelko heille tärkeän metsän katoamisesta.Tutkielman perusteella voidaan päätellä, että lähellä sijaitsevat ja helposti saavutettavat kaupunkimetsät ovat erittäin tärkeitä asukkaiden arjen luontokontakteille. Reitit ja palvelut ovat sitä vastoin tärkeässä roolissa metsien hyvälle saavutettavuudelle erityisesti osana vapaa-ajan suunniteltua virkistäytymistä. Metsänhoitoa koskevat huolet osoittivat, että kaupunkimetsiin liitetään ensisijaisesti luonto- ja virkistysarvoja, kun taas taloudelliselle hyödyntämiselle on vähemmän ymmärrystä. Kaupunkisuunnittelussa tulisi ottaa paremmin huomioon kaupunkimetsien vetovoimaisuus sekä riittävä kapasiteetti kaupunkien kasvaessa ja tiivistyessä.

I worked as a part-time waitress in Vesilinna Restaurant while studying my Masters Degree.

I performed customer support for the biggest and most important clients of the company in the fields of environmental, industrial, and facility services. The goal of L&T is to transform a consumer society into an efficient recycling society.

The aim of the Bachelor's Thesis was to define the soundscapes of the urban park network Kehä Vihreä in the City of Jyväskylä. Sound walks and qualitative focus group interviews were conducted in order to examine what perceptions and emotions the soundscapes evoke. The thesis was graded as 5/5 (excellent).The results revealed that traffic noise and mechanical sounds impair the perception of natural sounds in an urban park. In addition, the results provided strong support for the notion that a peaceful soundscape is closely related to a state of mind and active listening. Thus, it is suggested that the most effective way to affect the perceived quality of a soundscape is to offer citizens locations which invite them to come to a halt within the hectic city environment and to use their senses.The Bachelor Thesis served as a platform for further developing the content and quality of Kehä Vihreä and was conducted as a Facility Management student in JAMK University of Applied Sciences.

For 3 winters I worked on tourism in Lapland mainly with international customers. My duties included customer service, guiding, selling safaris, and cooperation with the local service providers. In 2013-2014, I was promoted as the head of the Christmas elf guides for British visitors. I did this seasonal job alongside my Bachelor’s Degree studies.

I worked in a gift shop and my duties included customer service, stock counting, pricing, and maintenance.

I did this occasional/part-time work for five years during and between my studies at high school, military service, and exchange in Australia. During the years I worked at the restaurants and nightclubs on several different Viking Line cruise ships.
