About Vijai Thottathil Jayadevan
I graduated with a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Purdue University and I'm currently working as a senior algorithm engineer at the AI & Modeling Center of Excellence of KLA in Ann Arbor. My graduate research work focussed on biologically-inspired computer vision. I.e., I studied human visual perception and use that understanding to make better computer vision algorithms. I have worked on problems like 3D reconstruction from images, modeling human visual perception, 3D point cloud decomposition, 3D point cloud registration, object detection and tracking, image segmentation and image restoration.
