Responsible for the technology aspects of Coking, Alkylation, Sulfur, Amine, SWS, Tail gas treatment, Nash units, Boilers, BFW and steam systems in five refineries of Holly Frontier Corporation. Mentoring, Coaching of young engineers at the refineries. Being part of four other specialists as a team reporting to the VP of technology and operations.

Working with a small group of process engineers with varying experience levels. Solving issues with many process units including Coker, DHT, NHT, FCC, Treating, sulfur, Amine etc.

Successfully completed the Commissioning, Start-up and Operations Project for Petro-Rabigh Phase II Project. Consisting of 11 petrochemical process units, tankage, off-sites and utilities. Working to improve profitability, trouble-shooting of operations and working with the Strategic Planning group for future investment ideas for the Citgo Corporation at Corpus Christi and other refineries.

Worked in the Hydroprocessing Engineering group for a year. Started with Refining and Petrochemcial Services as the group was getting formed to provide profit improvement services to refineries and petrochemical plants around the world. In 2002, started work with UOP Delhi office as Senior Technical Specialist in the Continuing Services group.

Providing technical and operational support to oil majors of India of all UOP technologies in refineries and petrochemical plants. Giving process and safety updates to refineries, analyzing data from refineries and working with the Technical Services Department of UOP Des Plaines and Guildford in solving problems. Making presentations in many forums in India and being in touch with the client. Being the Voice of the Customer inside UOP.

Worked in three refineries of PDVSA in Venezuela and Curacao. Worked as technical advisor to all the refineries in the circuit. Was invovled the development of synthetic crude from the Orinoco belt of Venezuela. Worked in the Amuay Refinery, El Palito Refinery and then Isla refinery in Curacao for PDVSA.

Responsible for troubleshooting, unit optimization, process improvements, profit improvements, process engineering of modifications, project execution and coaching and teaching of younger engineers. This was being done in all four refineries in Venezuela and in conjuction with the research arm of PDVSA called Intevep.
