My key role was to Perform Real-Time Monitoring, Investigation, log Analysis, Reporting, and Escalation of Security Events from Multiple log sources generated through tools such as Splunk, FortiSOAR, and Anvilogic tools.Analyze and investigate the alerts in SOC monitoring tools to report any abnormal behaviors, suspicious activities, traffic anomalies, malicious activities, unauthorized access, etc. I worked in Security Operation Centre (24x7), monitoring SOC events by detecting and preventing Intrusion attempts.We are investigating and creating Quick searches and Reference Sets in Splunk for the security threats and forwarding it to the Onsite SOC team for further investigation and action.Monitoring security alerts and raw logs and alerts triggered in the SIEM tool integrated with various devices like IDS/IPS, Firewalls, and Endpoint tools to ensure all the company assets are free from external attacks. The user onboarding process includes account creation and provisioning access based on roles.IDM-enabling, disabling, or modifying user account/ VPN accounts.I am creating SOPs and giving sessions on the same for multiple use cases.Fine-tuning alerts post investigation to minimize false positive alerts by interacting with the Detection Engineering team.Check logs and activities for user-related threats using Exabeam and Splunk, attend handover calls, and draft shift handover mails. Attending weekly calls with clients.
