🤔Get two Degrees but use Neither!Studying at Glasgow University was amazing. Four years in, I left with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (B Eng). I Walked across the city to Strathclyde University and completed a Masters Degree in Laser Physics.Throughout studying I had started a laundry shop business called Harveys, growing it to three branches before I graduated. When it came to deciding in accepting a job offer form BP or expanding my own business, I decided with my heart!👣7 Steps back but Keep moving forward!In hindsight , it was never going to be easy. Despite many stop starts, windy roads and brickwalls the we expanded the business. From 3 shops to 5 and then expanding into Industrial Laundry for Hotels and Restaurants. Every day was a learning day and I became absorber of business books. Harveys Laundry grew to be the largest independent Laundry in Scotland.🌱One Crop may not survive a Hailstorm – Grow more cropsIn 2005 we diversified into Property Investment and Development. Purchasing rapidly, we bought residential and commercial properties throughout Scotland. In 2009 Harveys Healthcare expanded into Care Homes. Harveys also expanded into the food and beverage trade. 🚀Continuing into ForeverI enjoy the process. Overcoming the difficulties, the challenges, the impossibilities is what shapes us all. Harveys continues to grow and we will remain that way. Currently building a pipeline of Co- Working sites. In the coming year building a Co Living sites. Set a Vision, work hard, overcome obstacles and achieve. The loop continues…
