An engineer by profession, Vijay has been the person behind the journey of cell foundation. Vijay decided to contribute his bid to the community to which he belonged and left his MNC job to bring about the change. He worked as national youth corp in NYKS(youth and sports ministry of India). He observed that in colony that people were not very well aware about education and living in very poor condition and he started a learning centre over there where he was trying to create awareness around education and teaching kids. Suddenly Government came to demolish this colony which is Asia’s most culturally rich and containing almost 30 indigenous art forms .He started his advocacy for kathputali colony thorugh art in issue of resettlement and started Protest in January 2014. He has been the voice of Kathputali Colony and formed a collective of youth for community development. In kathputali rehabilitation issue he is representing kathputali colony and fighting for community rights and ensuring that everyone will get their allotment . He founded cell foundation (community organisation) which is aiming to create a self sustainable community through the means of art and education. He is exploring various platforms and methods to support community artisan and craft to generate livelihood and develop their art.This will save this one of the Asia’s biggest indigenous performing art community.Which is intent to Preserve,Create and showcase their art to nurture world with their talent.
