Designed and developed automation framework and tests for verification of a medical device product: IoT based (Bluetooth & NFC) electromechanical, embedded system that delivers insulin, driven by a Mobile Application on iOS (connected via BT), connected to Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) via NFC, BT: Aligned with various software lifecycle activities, such as requirements analysis and tracing, design reviews, integration, debugging, root cause failure analysis, defect triaging and configuration management etc. Integrated all components for the “medical system under test”, based on standards (21 CFR 820), using agile methodology. Created, enhanced, upgraded, and released automated tests using the automation framework / test environment, based on the product development lifecycle stage. Tested the product integrating continuous/rapid changes to the medical device system. Developed and enhanced multiple test suites to help Design Assurance team to run Basic Sanity, Extended Sanity and Regression test suite (14 to 30 days test cycle), Feature specific tests, and Compliance/Accuracy tests for every release. This testing effort helped stabilize the software and system, and improved the overall quality of the product at various stages of development. Created design documents, IQ, for the automation framework, trained Design Assurance and Manufacturing teams with installation, configuration and use of the framework. The automation framework helped the company to achieve system level verification for the healthcare product.
