Staff Software Engineer, Platform Engineering (Logging) @ eBay- Ported and refactored log publishing layer for 64-bit arch that reduced eventual h/w footprint by more than a quarter to handle the same traffic - (area: C++, logging, messaging, code-porting)- Architecture and MVP of eBay's OLAP 2.0 using Druid. Addressed hyper cardinality problem for multiple app-server regions with first-class query SLAs of milliseconds, and sub minute data freshness -- this platform is recently replaced by an architecture evolved around Clickhouse by eBay (area: Hybrid-OLAP, λ, stream processing, metrics)- Developed distributed rate limiting algorithms (area: anomaly detection on streams)- Enhanced and maintained (+ 24x7 support) ebay's CAL platform that serves 100s TB per day worth of logs - carriage, storage, synthesis, processing, metric generation and reporting modules to different degrees (area: logging, monitoring, big data)

Tech lead for GRIDEcon project team at Bangalore; individual contributor for distributed system design & APIs. This was EU-FP6 sponsored project that pioneered a marketplace and pricing model for the stale compute and storage resources via arbitrage (futures and options) mode of securities trading.

R&D, product development in telecom billing vertical, worked for Intelligent Network Platform (INP) and Pre-delivery Service Agent (PSA) product suites. Formed a special interest group called SIGLin targeted at Linux and open source technologies.
