I provisioned critical inventory of spares, tools and test equipment for vehicles, communication devices, optoelectronic equipment, heavy-duty generators and IT assets. This involved training of technicians, inventory management, making preventive maintenance plan, provision of Mobile Repair Teams for moving convoys, and innovation to ensure maximum operational availability and reliability of war-like equipment to the Battalion of 1600 plus soldiers. I utilized my innovation skills not only to facilitate repair but also to aid the Battalion in carrying out Counter Insurgency operations in mountainous terrain. The innovations conceptualized, designed and fabricated by me were widely appreciated at Corps level. The details of the same are mentioned below:-• Mobile Pneumatic Workstation - An innovation designed and fabricated to enable ease of repair of vehicles that are part of mobile convoys.• Mobile Surveillance Centre - Modified a heavy vehicle to act as a Command and Control Centre for Search Operations, replete with HD long-range Surveillance Camera, Radio Communication Equipment, and a Display Device all internally powered through the vehicle, resulting in an increase in the range of surveillance by 125 square km and appreciation by the Formation Commander (CEO). • Cabin Mounted Ignition Switch - Conceptualized a push-button start placed on the exterior of the cabin of heavy vehicles, to provide the technicians with a means to crank the engine from outside to safely validate repairs. • Fuel Filtration Plant - Designed and fabricated an in- house fuel filtration plant to filter the diesel before use in heavy vehicles thereby reducing defects in the Rotary pump of the vehicles by 50%.

This involved fetching up of stores in eyeball to eyeball contact with the enemy passing through treacherous terrain employing limited resources.• I led the Route Opening across 12 feet of snow-covered area in the chilling Himalayan winter months to establish an important deployment location.• I planned and led the move of a special convoy over a one way distance of 400 km through highly sensitive Insurgency prone area, for turnover of missiles.
