Joined NHPC as Engineer in 1989 worked at site for 5 years , erection , testing commissioning, operation and maintenance of 400kV JEYPORE (K) SubstationJoined POWERGRID Corporate Office in March 1994. Worked in Asset Management Deptt of POWERGRID for 18 years, since its inception , standardising operation and maintenance formats and procedures across the organisation, HVDC operation and maintenance systems and procedures , headed Substation equipment group, - formulating strategies for maintenance , failure-root cause Analysis and remedial measures. Instrumental in achieving more than 98% availibility and less than 0.2 trippings per line in POWERGRID. Joined Grid India (POSOCO) in 2012 as DGM Grid management at National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC) Delhi for five years . Instrumental in unifying the National Grid so One Nation, One Grid and One Frequency was realised in 2013. Worked in Technology Development Deptt , R&D wing of POWERGRID for six years as Sr GM . Instrumental in in-house development of PALMS and TOCMS O&M monitoring software tools, Substation Inspection Robot, GIS tools for monitoring of Transmission Lines, NABL/ISO accreditation of State of the Art Laboratories at POWERGRID Advanced Research and Technology Centre (PARTeC) , Manesar, UCA accreditation for Protection and automation lab. EMF measurement for UHV AC & DC lines across INDIA , Accreditation of WAMS labs etc.Joined BGCPTL (JV of POWERGRID and NEA ) as Chief General Manager in November 2023 for implementing / construction of 400kV D/C Quad Moose New Butwal -Gorakhpur Transmission Line and associated GIS bays at Existing POWERGRID Gorakhpur Substation .Involved in all facets of Joint venture company dealing with cross-border constructions and operations
