Vijay L Roy is currently involved in understanding the genetic underpinnings of medication responses. A problem solver by training, she aims to aid translational research. Her goal is to understand the reason(s) behind disparity in responses and inequality in individual characteristics, while investigating genetic heterogeneity. She is intrigued by the machinery of a living cell, and loves to dissect the problem at hand to explore the inner workings of the complex molecules which make a cell tick. She enjoys exploring the signals and cues that regulate the fine control of the cellular machinery, which imparts unfathomable variabilities between individuals in their traits, peculiarities, and expressions.
