Taught a course on sound design and audio-visual representation for architecture students studying in Florence called Soundtracking Architecture (Mediascapes of Architecture). The course introduces students to multi-sensory methods of studying, representing, and designing architectural environments.

Author of On Nervi + Light and @NerviPics (IG), which documents the architectural legacy of the Italian engineer and builder Pier Luigi Nervi. Through an unprecedented photographic study of this highly influential, yet sadly neglected body of work, the publication highlights parallel evolutions in structural design and the performance of natural light in Nervi's buildings across Italy (many of which are abandoned today) over the course of his career (1930s-60s). The aspiration for this upcoming book and these photographs is to re-contextualize Nervi’s buildings as contemporary architecture with present and future lives, rather than as ruins to be remembered only as historic artifacts of the past. Photographs from this collection are regularly published online.

While studying abroad in London, I continued the ongoing project to digitize, and make available online, the museum’s entire collection. I worked alongside curators, historians, and artists to personally digitize and catalog over 1,000 prints and drawings (17th-19th centuries) using museum standards. In the Prints and Drawings department, I also helped prepare draft screenings of future exhibitions with, and for, curators.

In the department led by Professor Frank Starmer, I explored the potential for DIY 3D-printing in the medical field. I designed 3D models using SketchUp, Open SCAD and other software and created material to instruct future users on 3D design and printing techniques.

Working alongside engineers I built sensor, vision technology, and machine learning prototype systems to demonstrate the value of Data Acquisition (DAQ) and LabVIEW (visual programming language) at product fairs and created tutorials for National Instruments’ clients. I also conducted research on water purification methods in Singapore to help determine the possibility of government collaboration.
