Transcend Infrastructure Ltd is Based in Kolkata, India and Builds, Owns, Operates and Leases (BOOL) Passive Infrastructure for Wireless Operators. Transcend was a start up company funded by Private Equity and Institutional investors such as Babcock and Brown and Mumtalakat the Bahrain Soverign fund. Built the team, set up process and structure to do site acqusition, build and operate the sites and sales of vertical slots on the towers to wireless operators. The company focusses its business in the East and North East of India where there is a huge demand for towers and where operators have recently been licensed and given spectrum. Transcend is a subsidiary of Insight Infrastructure a Singapore Based company. Amercian Tower Corporation ATC acquired Transcend Infrastructure Ltd in November 2009.

Full P&L responsibility for Services business in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Sri Lanka. Responsible for executuion of Projects and post execution Care including 24 X 7 emergency support, bid management, strategic, short term and long term planning and forecasts, contract management, logistics and procurement of non NSN components.

Full P&L responsibility for Services business for Nokia Networks in India. Responsibilities included execution of the largest roll-out in a country globally for Nokia, post execution care and 24x7 emergency support and Managed Services of the Vodaphone and Bharti Airtel networks. Successfully transitioned over 850 staff from Vodafone to Nokia in one of the largest Managed Services deals in India.

Robi was the second largest GSM Operator in Bangladesh. The COO was a member of the Board Executive Committee, responsible for sales and marketing, Distribution, Engineering, Operations, IT, HR and Customer Service. Executed an expansion of the network and grew customer base from 900K to 3M in 12 months. Expansion of the Customer service network, opening and staffing 15 centres across Bangladesh.

US listed Wimax equipment vendor. Based out of Sydney, created a customer support organisation and execution of projects in Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, China and Sri Lanka.

Lanka Bell is a fixed wireless operator with a nationwide license in Sri Lanka. Two years into the company formation I was brought into restructure and develop local leadership in the team. Attracted new investor AIDEC from Japan and turned fortunes of company around to report first operational profit.

GM responsible for the R&D, Sales and marketing, Manufacturing of Public Mobile Radio equipment. Merged acquired company in liqudation into ADI. Restructure business and launch new products into US Market.

As Founding Managing Director started this company for Telstra. The first licensed Mobile operation for Telstra outside of Australia. Built a team and set up process, structure to launch services within a year. The success of the venture surpassed all of Telstra and Sri Lanka Telecom expectations.

Project Management of various International projects for Telstra including the PACT Network connecting Pacific Island Nations on a Demand Assigned Multiple Access(DAMA) Satellite network.

Project Management of International facilities such as the construction of the Whitehill Earth Station facility and Optical Fibre links.
