Creating weekly press releases, growing the brand and new organisation on social media mainly Twitter and Facebook. Helping out on events, training and what else was required of me, My internship involved completing a wide variety of tasks but the element I enjoyed the most was engaging the public through communications. I completed an internship with a consortium of young people’s organisations called Youth Engagement Slough (YES) and this was focused on communicating the organisations’ work and its impact to a wide range of stakeholders, using traditional methods involving the press and more contemporary approaches including social media.
