Plant Supervisor
Current• Maintains safe working conditions throughout the plant by taking corrective action on unsafe conditions or acts. Responsible for ensuring incident reports and associated corrective actions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.• Supervises hourly employees performing various production operations and administers plant policies and procedures that pertain to direct reports. • Participates, leads and monitors process improvement projects: productivity, quality, ergonomics, 5S, lean manufacturing, etc. using JOBBOSS software.• Hire, supervise and train production employees to enable efficient production operations• Evaluate and review employees’ performance using set goals and KPIs• Effectively manages employee work schedules and provide optimal use of manpower, machinery, and materials to eliminate unfavorable labour variance.• Ensure all production targets are being met throughout a shift; analyze and correct shortfalls immediately.• Proactively identifies and elevate issues with a recommended solution appropriately to senior management.• Conducts weekly crew meetings for communication of safety, quality and production changes and goals.• Prepare daily and periodic reports as required and in a timely fashion; updates Enterprise as the need arises for attendance and payroll reporting.• Possess a technical understanding of production planning techniques, basic understanding of quality management standards, lean manufacturing, Kaizen approach to production with a focus on health, safety, and environmental requirements.
