Designated as Chief Financial officer in Pine Labs. Pine Labs is a leading provider of Payment, Loyalty and Retail automation system in India. With deep rooted culture of innovation and strong foundation in engineering skills, it has acquired a niche space for itself. Pine labs is funded by Sequoia Capital India which manages more than $1.8 billion worth of investments in various growth and last stage opportunities. I am responsible for providing leadership, guidance and direction to finance team besides supporting the management on overall strategy.

Ventured into entrepreneurship, as Co-Founder of Urtechmate (a start up founded with 3 people for IT support for US customers). During my tenure Urtechmate was transformed into a 50 people company). My role evolved around overall strategy and direction, survival and growth and driving workforce for revenue besides taking care of financial and operational matters.

Worked as Vice President Finance/Head of Finance for MakeMyTrip Group’s worldwide operations of $700+ million spanning across 4 countries. My responsibilities evolved around business planning and modelling, running a successful IPO and FPO in USA with SEC, Convergence to IFRS, Dealing with lawyers and auditors and analysts, process improvements and creating culture for USA listing. I also lead a team size of more than 70 people for compliance and audits, credit control, payable, revenue and cost optimization.

Worked as Financial Controller Cum Director – India-Sri Lanka-Bangladesh of Gemalto [Created on Merger of Axalto (Erstwhile SCHLUMBERGER) and GEMPLUS]. GEMALTO was the worldwide as well as Indian Leader in Sim Cards and Smart Cards with the turnover of 2 billion USD worldwide. Responsibilities were Heading Finance function, support to business groups, bids and tenders review, transfer pricing, Legal matters, Heging and options, New initiatives and leading the team of F&A for audit and compliance and routine accounting matters , credit control, account payables etc.
