• Leads and directly supervises a team of 13 operation engineers as well as internal tradespeople and external contractors.
• Responsible for planning, budgeting and directing the operation and maintenance of the portfolio of building totaling $1.5 million.
• Provides excellent customer service to various levels of occupants including Dean’s, CAO’s, faculty members, students and other building occupants and ensures that all their concerns are addressed effectively and in a.
• Directly managed numerous sustainability and energy efficiency projects resulting in reduction of over a million kWh in energy use. These projects include: replacing inefficient chillers, A/C units, installing Variable.
• Provides expert technical advice to other departments and Faculties, maintain deficiency lists for various projects, and actively pursues energy conservation opportunities.

In this role, has facilitated the safe and effective operation of a registered First Class Steam Plant that provided process steam to the majority of hospitals and commercial buildings in downtown Toronto including the maintenance and repairs of the entire underground steam distribution system.
