(A) Import Operations (Commodities -Onion, Copra, Coconut Oil and Silver Alloy)• Devised and implemented import plan for import of 40000 MTs of onions from various geographies (Egypt, Turkey, Netherlands) at war footing level on Govt. of India a/c.• Handled end to end import operations and supply chain management w.r.t multiple shipments of Reefer containers, reefer vessel of Onions • Contract management; negotiated terms and drafted contracts with various service providers such as CHA's, inspection agencies, CFS's, and TPL (third party logistics).• Initiated Direct Port Delivery transfer model for the co., resulting in low TAT and saving on ground rent and warehousing costs.• Tied up with insurance companies and surveyors/inspection agencies in case of damages, quality & quantity claims.• Managed inventory and distribution by hiring cold storage facilities thereby ensuring lowest possible quality and quantity damage.• Established new revenue stream by facilitating Copra, Coconut oil imports (Dry Coconut) under various export promotion schemes of DGFT.• Generated revenue by executing imports of Silver Alloys for domestic end-users as per FTP 2015-20. (B) Import Operations, E-Auction (Commodity – Precious Metal - Gold)• Devised import plan for Gold under DTA scheme which included placing of import orders, preparation of documents along with custom bonds for custom clearance.• Examined export shipping documents minutely and kept a track of export obligations against the imported Gold as per FTP 2015-20 guidelines.• Checked complex value addition calculations of imported gold vis-a'-vis exported jewellery as per FTP 2015-20 guidelines, while refunding Custom Duty.• Increased and managed customer base of approx. 120 jewelers (Pan India) for both DTA and E-Auction of Gold.• Executed unprecedented E-Auction of Gold 0.995 purity KG bars domestically by selling approx. 8 MTs under governments' Gold monetization scheme, which is a company record.
