Vikas has extensive global perspective of the catastrophe risk landscape and also, the key events that have shaped the industry.He possesses rich experience of working with clients in Americas, Europe, Middle-East and APAC markets. With deep expertise & proven track record in use of multiple vendor catastrophe models, he combines his technical understanding of risk & modelling across perils, together with awareness of what matters the most at different management levels, to deliver client specific solutions. He has played a pivotal role in spreading awareness and highlighting importance of catastrophe modelling in re/insurance business decision making, through a number of relevant industry collaborations and client specific training programs. An expert in catastrophe risk modelling, he is regularly seen speaking at various industry events.Vikas has been associated with global resilience initiatives as part of the Sendai framework for disaster risk reduction and also, the climate risk and insurance working group for the Geneva Association. He is committed to bring the disaster reduction techniques and practices pioneered in the private sector to the local governments leading to making societies mores resilient.
