I was associated with Private Equity business, financial management, business development, bringing in investment, derisking business, investment diligence, seeking new opportunities and connecting with MoF, MoFS, MoP, MNRE, MHA, Ministries of Water Resources and Commerce, Niti Ayog, RBI, IREDA, REC, SECI etc for issues pertaining to invetments, new projects, overseas investment, buying business, IPO, Sarfesi, FCRA matters etc. Oversaw and advised portfolio companies to remain compliant on ESG and regulatory framework. Was also operationally involved with some portfolio companies to re-engineer their business perocess for improved productivity.Also held board postions in some portfolio companies.During later part of my stint, I was more focussed on Eversource Capital and Green Growth Equity Fund. Eversource, as Fund Manager of GGEF, was a JV of British Petroleum and Everstone. DFID of UK Govt and IGF of Govt of India made substantial investment in this AIF. The main objective of the fund was decarbonisation of energy value chain with focus on Green Energy, Renewables, Energy Efficiency, Resource Efficiency, Water Efficiency, E-mobility and E-transpotation etc. Creating operational platforms in these verticals - both greenfield and brownfield - and scaling up business to create more value for investors and stakeholders.
