Asit Ghosh, or Agie as he is affectionately known, is a Social Entrepreneur who has settled into his mission to create a better world. He is the Founder Father of Vikashalaya, a unit of Arati, a registered nonprofit. He is currently building the first Matrikul - a home to 10 destitute children, aged 3-5 at Santiniketan - and his vision is to establish hundreds of such homes in other locations in the future.Before his commitment to social entrepreneurship, Agie had a successful 33-year career as a professional speaker, corporate trainer, behavioral analyst and coach. He had the unique opportunity to touch the hearts of over 180,000 individuals, and is remembered fondly as a mentor by thousands of people around the world. Many of them are now fellow trustees in his nonprofit and actively support his mission to create a world populated by Nature-Integrated-Humans.Asit is an ardent nature-lover who lives with some of his students and is determined to use his work with the children to develop them into role models for the generations to come.
