After three decades of experience as a technologist, I believe I have done a lot more than I ever expected. There were some significant highlights in my journey. I set up the technology for one of India's first portals, rediff.com, before most knew what the Internet was. I worked with a venture capital firm to incubate start-ups including MakeMyTrip.com. I worked with global investment banks to build mission-critical solutions. And most recently, I had the rare opportunity to be the CIO and set up technology for Aditya Birla Payments Bank from the ground up. Finally, as the CIO at Equifax I helped drive their digital transformation strategy, including moving on-prem solutions to the cloud. During this journey, I have realised that although we do have some exceptional IT talent in the country, we are still only getting our basics right and don't seem to have the time or ability to innovate, with some exceptions of course. At the same time, technology is evolving rapidly and a lot of us could be left behind. To bridge the gap and build a mindset of learning and innovative thinking from youngsters in schools to senior professionals in the corporate world who still have a passion to learn, I have set up a digital learning platform with content on technology of the future, including Physical Computing, Cloud Computing, IoT, AI/ML, Blockchain and UAVs/Drones. The content is structured to be useful across age groups, for both technical and non-technical audiences. The former can get some in-depth and hands-on learning. For the latter we will demystify technology to enable them to understand the art of the possible with technology and business.Do get in touch if you are interested in bringing your students, teachers, employees or yourself ahead of the curve on computing technology.
