● Lead, Architected and Developed a new Order/Checkout System: It’s the only interface of revenue generation for the company. Replaced bug laden inhouse implementation with API based third party service Chargebee. ○ Legacy code had become so complex and unmanageable that the entire India office (20 engineers) were dedicated to it. ○ Impact of rewrite ■ Only two engineers are needed now maintenance and new development. ■ The customer complaints and abandoned carts dropped dramatically. Annual revenue jumped from 3 Million Euros to 46 Million within two years. ○ Collaborated extensively with teams across the company and Chargebee. ○ Newsletter2Go was acquired by Sendinblue whose order management system was very easily onboarded using the new system which includes handling German laws dictating the data for German users being physically stored within Germany. ● Built Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for a user to opt in for higher security. ○ Opted users will be required to authenticate using OTP generated by an Authenticator app (such as Authy, Google Authenticator) or OTP sent via SMS with recovery options that include backup codes and fall back phone numbers. ○ It allowed onboarding premium Enterprise clients who had high security needs. ○ The integration was done using the Scheb framework. ● 3D Secure 2 Payment Workflow Integration to make online payments more secure via Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) on checkout . ○ Got it Implemented, tested and released it in a strict timeline of a month as European regulation had enforced PSD2 compliance, failing which the entire revenue from existing and new European customers would have stopped.
