Prepare and compile reports for summary of earnings, taxes, deductions and vacations. Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state payroll taxes. Collect and analyze information to resolve payroll discrepancies. Answer questions and requests pertaining to payroll. Involved with the hiring and termination process of Commercial Driver,s License (CDL) holders, mainly concentrating on concrete mixer drivers. Send out inquiries for previous employment verifications and Authorizations to Release Information for Drug and Alcohol Testing. Ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS), Driver Qualification (DQ) files, Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) process, DOT Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Testing Program Management and Carrier Safety Administration (CSA) reporting and follow up. Assist the Safety Manager with incident and accident investigation process and with conducting safety meetings at four batch plant sites. Transport CDL holders to facility for quarterly random drug testing and perform random alcohol testing on site.
