As the Home Care Consultant for Home Instead, I perform a variety of duties in the marketing of companionship and home care services. I research and pursue new referral sources, enhance and maintain existing referral sources, identify sources for client referrals, make contact with new referral sources in person according to the established goals. This would include intro calls, info calls, one-on-one meetings or group presentations using video and print material to educate and inform them on available services. Schedule and successfully execute regular community marketing events including health fairs, senior expos and any other event that would promote our service to the general public. I follow up on all resource contacts with appropriate correspondence such as thank you notes and luncheons.

Responsible for new client conversations, needs assessments, and referral processing. Office supervisor of client care and scheduling department. Assess needs and coordinate professional development of office and field staff. Served as a liaison between agency, clients, and caregivers during discipline action and dispute. Provide linkage and referrals for community resources and 1-1 support to patients/families.

Processed all new client intake calls, and questions on services. Responsible for new client assements and conversations. Partnered with scheduling to ensure care needs were met and consistent.

Training and teaching of homecare personal care course for caregivers. Provide ongoing education courses on building relationships with clients, taking the lead, and how to keep seniors safe in their home. Conducted going education courses in diabetes care, hospice training, and alzheimer’s and dementia care. Responsible for the retention and supervision of our caregiving staff. Completed yearly evaluations and addressed and displine and additional training needs.
