I am an academic language therapist and author of "Building Blocks" - a practical guide to supporting kids and teens with learning disorders and academic challenges. I offer a specialized and comprehensive approach to learning for children and teens that have diagnosed learning deficits, specifically dyslexia and dysgraphia. As a therapist I support students with cognition deficits, helping them to rebuild the learning continuum step-by-step. Strategies and skills are taught to help students with processing and understanding information, reading, and writing. I create and implement treatment plans for each student that utilizes information from a variety of sources (neuropsychological evaluation, IEP, 504 plan) and work with the principal, counselor, teachers, parents and support staff to help each student succeed.
