Responsible for delivering all strands of our grants programme including overseeing our six Regional Grants Committees. I manage the grants budget, report and work closely with the Board, develop grant strategy and represent the charity on sector working groups and at external events. Collaboration and building relationships are key. I am a great believer in introducing the charities that we work with to each other, especially if they are working in similar areas or have knowledge that would benefit others or can just offer each other support.

Responsible for redesigning and managing the grant process for the Trinity House Maritime Charity. I regularly visit the charities and organisations that are supported by THMC to see first hand the impact that our funding has had, as well as using this as an opportunity to build strong relationships.

Responsible for updating guidance and application forms for Strategic Development Fund grants, ensuring funding reports were submitted on time and manging grant payments for significant multi-year projects.

Working primarily with the Grants Committee, I build relationships with the organisations that we support from the receipt of application to the outcome and beyond. I am responsible for and have developed our outcomes reporting structure, manage grant data and reporting and visit a number of charities that we support to see the impact that the grant funding has made.

Working with those with significant barriers to employment, I provided a bespoke employment support service to enable individuals to either return to the workplace or identify a preferred vocational outcome. Communication and relationship building skills were vital for the role as it involved not only building a relationship with the individual but also partner agencies and employers.

Supporting those who had been referred to the charity, I worked with individuals within the community suffering from trauma with complex needs. Working throughout the South Central area, I built relationships with agencies and charities supporting a wide range of issues. I worked with individuals in their own homes, prisons and homeless shelters.

Providing a 24/7 hospital welfare service to Armed Forces personnel and their dependants. I provided practical and emotional support in various locations in the U.K. as well as at the field hospital in Afghanistan. Working closely with the hospital staff, both military and civilian, Regiments and Corps, military charities and support agencies to support the welfare needs of the individual and their family.

Working within the Bjelave Home in Sarajevo to provide play and educational activities for the children including many with learning difficulties or disabilities.
