Worked part time from Apr 2018 to Sept 2018, to assist in the Finance IT support division to perform application and system checks daily, weekly and monthly to ensure the Finance team across Asia Pacific countries under Agility Logistics do not encounter issues during the month end closing. Uses the IBM AS/400 technology platform. Required to work 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday, and at times, to be able to work from home doing these checks. Able to create macros to speed up the checking on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Have been offered a full time role starting Oct 1, 2018 to handle the entire System 21 for all Asia Pacific countries still on this system.

Transition to Human Resources Partner to continue my career within HR. In this role, my responsibility is a HR consultant to business units within the IBM Malaysia organization. With the extensive knowledge working as the HR Delivery Manager in my previous role, I am able to be the consultant to the managers within IBM Malaysia extending my scope in the area of succession planning, managing employee performance, compensation review and analysis and any other areas that is related to personnel management. As IBM was going through a global restructuring, the HR Partner model was restructured as well to support the changes in the business units. Due to this I was given the opportunity to support managers in IBM Singapore for a year before another HR Partner model was cascaded down from global. In April 2017, I was given the option for early retirement which I embrace.

As my career progression within IBM, I decided to take on a management position in Human Resources. Was given the opportunity as the Country HR Delivery Manager servicing entire IBM managers and employees in IBM Malaysia. Manage a team of HR Professionals who were responsible for Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Expenses, Expats & Inpats, Onboarding of New Hires and Resignation, just to name a few. Successfully stabilized the team as prior to taking this role, there we 5 resignations within 2 months. Successfully delivered the team's Service Levels within our internal target measurements, retained and trained these HR Professionals required to support the IBM Malaysia population and maintain cost within the budget.Received very good commendation from HR Director on our HR delivery services to our IBM Malaysia managers and employees. Took a dual role within HR on top of my Delivery Role, ie. Regional Owner for the Workforce, Lifecycle Program and Separations process in 2010. In the regional role, I conducted and hosted monthly meetings with stakeholders across the Asia Pacific region for regular updates and also manage issues / problems within the scope of the processes I owned as the regional owner. Received good feedback from the stakeholders during the time when I was in this role. Was given the opportunity to be the Project Manager of the ASEAN IBM Internal Account managing the Application Management & Development team. Scope of responsibility and accountability was to coordinate and manage the ASEAN AMS team supporting all the ASEAN applications for IBM Internal clients. Continue to build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with the ASEAN application owners, CIO team and Server & Network support team. Worked closely with the application owners to define and initiate projects, assign Project Managers to manage cost, schedule and performance of each projects, while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the programs to the application owners. Maintain continuous alignment of AMS scope with strategic business objectives, and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance the effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent. Coach, mentor and lead personnel across the ASEAN countries support teams in the technical team environment. I received the award below as recognition of my contribution and achievement.- June 2003 First Filing Award for patenting of the OCR solution in my country Project Manager role.

Moved to take on the role of Project Manager handling IBM Internal Account in the area of Application Maintenance & Development for IBM Malaysia. Was made responsible and accountable for the AMS teams supporting all the Malaysian local applications within IBM. In my role, I build credibility establish rapport and maintain effective communication with the application owners and CIO team. Worked closely with the application owners to define and initiate projects and assign Project Managers to manage cost, schedule and performance of each projects while working ten ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the programs. Coach, mentor and lead personnel within the technical team environment. These are 2 major projects we delivered.- Guided a team to developed an offshore inventory application for India based on the same concept as IBM Malaysia inventory system.- Build an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system for IBM Malaysia, teaming with IT professionals where we filed for patent rights within IBM Global Organization. This won us an award subsequently. This system captures input from scanned documents and converts the information into data for interface into the accounts payable system.

As a System Analyst (SA), I was responsible for the maintenance and development of applications under my scope, majority for the Supply Chain division. I provided consulting services, software development and project management services to application owners in IBM Malaysia. Training as a System Analyst was also on the job itself. At the same time, in this role I was practicing project management skills as it was part and parcel of being a System Analyst in this role. IBM focus at this time was proper documentation standards must be followed and part of our job was to assist the application owners to align their documentation in accordance to the project management standards. I successfully implemented Lotus Notes teamrooms to store softcopy of the application documents for the applications under my scope.

Took on the role of Business Analyst for the Inventory Management process since I was the Inventory Analyst in my previous role. Worked with the System Analyst (SA) to understand user requirements, developed system solutions and worked with SA to test and finally deployed the application to production. This was an application which we took from IBM Hong Kong and modified for IBM Malaysia. This application assist the business to effectively manage and plan their inventory.At the same time, I was also involved in the the development and deployment of the Billing system for IBM Malaysia with another Junior Business Analyst. Similar to the Inventory system, we worked on the Billing system from requirements to deployment to production support. Even when the rest of the IBM Asia Pacific countries migrated to the regional Billing application, IBM Malaysia maintained our Billing system for a couple of years before we finally migration to the regional Billing application as the initial deployment of this regional application was not able to handle what the local Billing system could do. These were 2 major projects which I was assigned to and no formal training was provided and all training was on the job. This exposure springboard me into my next role as a System Analyst and subsequently as a Project Manager.

I took the opportunity to learn about inventory management in IBM. Was offered the role to manage the country hardware inventory for IBM in Malaysia for both the Build To Order (BTO) and Built To Plan (BTP). This gave me an opportunity to work closely with the Sales team for their forecast to ensure that inventory do not sit in our warehouse for too long. My job includes preparing management reports for review and perform analysis of our inventory levels on a daily basis. Need to also ensure that the quantities of BTP in our warehouse is sufficient to meet the demands of the sales orders and to avoid shortfall or overstocking. Annually, I manage the stock taking / stock count of the inventory in our warehouse with the vendor that IBM engage to store our inventory. Idle stocks are offered out to other countries for taking to avoid keeping obsolete items in our warehouse. Items identified for scrapping is approved and physical scrapping exercise is performed according to IBM global standards.

I started as a Finance Planner for the Customer Service division in IBM. My duties was to provide planning data during the Fall Commitment Plan annual cycle and to capture the actual incurred on a monthly basis for reporting to HQ in Hong Kong. Any major deviation from the plan numbers were to be investigated and explained to HQ. I was given an opportunity to work on an assignment in HQ Hong Kong for 2 1/2 months to consolidate the data from all the Asia Pacific countries. This was a very good exposure for me as it provided me an insight to what HQ Hong Kong does with the data that we submit to them on a monthly basis. Subsequently, there was a focus on IBM maintenance business in Customer Service and a new division called Services Business was created. I was given the opportunity to head the administration for this new division and to handle the big clients who signed up with IBM to service them for a fixed period of time for an agreed cost. I developed from scratch the proposal to clients, crunching financials numbers needed for the proposals and after that developing a tracking methodology to manage the client's inventory listing under IBM for these big clients.
