As a CTO at Mediverse Technologies LLP, I have architected and delivered highly scalable, cloud based health-grid platform. This platform is used to build an innovative, online-offline medical practice management solution. The solution significantly enhances efficiency of the medical professional through touch based data capture, and helps in enhancing quality of care. The solution has been adopted by multiple national medical associations in India for all their members. The solution is also being used to provide affordable digital health grid based EMR service to grass root level in remote areas.

As a consultant to CXO System, I was responsible for defining the architecture of the presentation framework for CXO's enterprise visibility solutions. The framework developed, in early days of Ajax, in pre-jQuery era provided highly responsive rich web based user experience.

Datavision was moving away from Magic development platform to Java. As a consultant, I helped setup the development process, source control system, bug tracking and task allocation system in the initial phase. Subsequently, helped the team with architecture of their core banking solution - Datamate. Architected hibernate like ORM framework, along with development of a code generator which significantly cut down the development time and cost, and also improved the code reliability.Another key designed module was a fallback framework to support branch level banking. This would allow a bank branch to service the customer through a local fallback server while the central core banking server was inaccessible due to link failure (a fairly common scenario in those days). The local server would automatically synchronize all offline transactions when the link was restored.

This is a company I am emotionally connected to. I joined MMIT as the third employee of then a fledgling startup trying to make a mark in tools for offshore back office services. As a product manager, delivered a high performance image assisted data capture workflow solution. It has been deployed in various work solutions to process close to 100K forms a day.Subsequently, I moved to set up MMIT's Pune development center. Here, as CTO of the company, I was responsible for providing technical leadership for various products and projects. The key challenges were to co-ordinate with geographically distributed teams at Chennai, Pune and New york. MMIT was in the growing phase, and was entering new business area - framework for securitization of short term and long term financial assets. This required crystallizing new ideas that were being thrown around - and presenting them in a shape and form that the development team could assimilate and implement.

Vetri Software was in the process of setting up an Offshore software development center to augment their team. As a domain expert for automatic forms processing application for capturing handwritten data in a production environment, I made key contributions in solution that was offered to KoP Bank of Finland.

As a part of Knowledge Based Computing Systems Group (KBCS), my team was responsible for developing an optical character recognition engine for Devnagari (script used by many Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi etc). Successfully developed the core engine that was significantly tolerant to document tilt, and scanning distortions. The project was funded by UNDP, and was recognized as most promising technology development from amongst the projects funded by UNDP at seven KBCS nodal centers across the India.

This was my first brush with the industry. I still have fond memories of the excitement of building a commercially marketable product. As a part of team responsible for designing and developing computer peripherals, I was responsible for developing a PC XT/AT compatible keyboard from scratch. Successfully delivered a working prototype and production ready design in six months.Also responsible for research on electrical and audio noise reduction in dot matrix printers. Implemented a conceptual tilt head design that reduced the peak current requirement by 70% and achieved an audio noise reduction by 50%.
