Design lead in an international RIBA competition for a Green City proposal in Kigali, Rwanda, in partnership with ARUP. Other key project roles include a Design lead for a Boutique Hotel in Nigeria and Assistant Designer for a 175-unit affordable housing project for Communicare.

During the holiday period following the completion of my Honours at UCT, I was employed at URBA as a an intern to gain further architecture and urban design experience. This included Technical assistance on various architectural and urban design projects, drafting and creation of presentation documents for client discussion, model building and photography of models.

I was employed at dhk as a Senior Technologist, following the successful completion of my BTech at CPUT. I played a key role in developing design concepts (stage 1-3) for the following projects: BT Ngebs Casino in Mthatha; A design proposal for a lifestyle centre in Somerset West; The Matrix residential redevelopment in Cape Town. These projects also included the production of site mapping diagrams, development of client proposal presentations and draft 3D renders.I also played a role in the production and coordination of unit layouts, joinery details, construction drawings and site inspections for the Axis Luxury Apartments in Century City, completed in 2018. Other projects assistance includes the competition entry of the City Park Redevelopment; Design assistance on the new Capitec HQ and concept proposals for the Drostdy Centre inStellenbosch.

My initial architectural experience stemmed at dhk as a Technologist student, during my studies. I played a key role in the production of council submissions, construction drawings, detailing packages, site meetings, snagging and WC & PC inspections. (stage 3-5) for various projects. These projects included the BP Pick ‘n Pay Express fit-outs in Kenilworth, Sea Point and Klapmuts; Mill Square retail and offices in Stellenbosch.
