I've always believed that unexpected opportunities can lead to success. That's why I feel like an "Accidental Entrepreneur"! Enrich was founded by me and two friends in 1997, and it has turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened to us.After completing my MBA in Finance from Somaiya Institute as part of the 1995-97 Batch, I never imagined that the small business I launched with friends would eventually grow into one of the largest chains of company-owned and operated unisex salons in India.I began my professional career with the Wadia Group. During my MBA studies from 1995 to 1997 I worked as an intern and joined full-time as a Finance Manager from 1997 to 2000. This experience helped me learn the fundamentals of Finance and MIS.In 2000, I joined E-First Global, an equity broking firm founded by Shankar Sharma & Devina Mehra, as a Senior Manager in charge of Special Projects. My responsibilities included establishing retail branches and teams, providing equity sales advisory services, and interacting with clients. I also had to oversee the downsizing of the business during difficult times.From 2001 to 2011, I was part of Accenture - a global consulting and outsourcing firm. During this decade, I had the privilege to lead the Business Finance team for India and APAC entities and learn from some of the best people and business practices. It was an exceptional journey that helped me grow both professionally and personally.While working full-time in the corporate world, I continued to devote my free time to pursuing my passion for business, and I did so for 15 years! Finally, In 2011, I decided to focus full-time on Enrich and held different roles across functions. Over the past 12 years, we scaled the business to ~300 Cr in revenue, 110 outlets across seven cities with a team of 2000 people serving 1.3 million customers annually. Today, the brand Enrich has emerged as a thought leader in the beauty industry with the agility of a small business and the structure of well-governed corporate entities. In 2021, started investing in developing the second in line and designed the Enrich v5.0 org structure to fuel the growth of the brand and create opportunities for professional growth, personal development, and success for the leadership team and Planet Enrich Members.Starting January 2024, I have opted to be hands-off from day-to-day operations and continue as a member of the Board of Directors while remaining invested in Enrich and businesses/startups that align with my expertise and experience to create a positive impact.
