As a part of Economic Research Team at Axis Bank, I am involved in three different fields of research-macroeconomic, corporate and banking.1. In Macroeconomic research, I am involved in analyzing trends of various macroeconomic indicators such as India GDP, inflation, interest rate, exchange rate, fiscal and monetary policy, and also forecast Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Consumer Price Index (CPI), Wholesale Price Index (WPI) and Index of Industrial Production (IIP). 2. In Corporate Research, I do analysis of corporate level data (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) and prepare research reports on developments in various sectors. I also write quarterly reports on sector wise financial results, capacity addition and debt & equity flow of funds. 3. In Banking Research, I work extensively on competitive scenario - comparing performance of banks on various parameters including asset liability mix, asset quality, NIMs, cost of funds and capital requirements among others. I am also involved in forecasting deposit and credit growth.
