TAC Responsibilities:⦁ Responsible for Configuring, troubleshooting and managing Microsoft firewall products like TMG and UAG.⦁ Helping the end users in configuring forward proxy rules for internet access.⦁ Configuring the reverse proxy rules for accessing the resources from internet to the internal network which includes what kind off users are involved and even includes what kind of authentication as in the pre-auth should be taken care by the TMG before pushing the traffic to backend server.⦁ Configuring the delegation correctly when compared to the backend server.⦁ Reverse proxy scenarios include only HTTP/HTTPS traffic.⦁ We make sure that we have the access to the sites published is restricted via path restrictions.⦁ We have server publsihing rules for other traffic from the internet.⦁ We even have feature of creating an array of servers to manage the load if its more.⦁ We have a Enterprise setup also to manage different locations.⦁ Right troubelshooting methods to find the cause if found, we use network monitor and TMG data packager and logging and connectivity verifier.⦁ UAG as a product does the same but it does support only reverse proxy feature.⦁ Security products involve FIM which is normally used to move one domain set of users to another location based on certain attributes.⦁ ADRMS involves providing rights to documents on who actually can view the documents and who is not allowed to.⦁ Even help customers in configuring the windows update and troubleshoot in terms of certain errors .⦁ WAP as a product only allows HTTP traffic along where the authentication part is taken care by the Active directory.⦁ WAP is considered to be sucessor of TMG as of now.
