As a Senior Scientist at the Pilot Bioproduction Facility (PBF) CDMO of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), I am a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Viral/non Viral vaccines and biologics production. I have experience in developing and validating upstream and downstream processes in compliance with cGMP standards, working with cross-functional groups to streamline processes and maintain timelines, and reviewing and documenting the activities of a small team.I also have a strong background and passion for vaccine development against infectious diseases, such as HIV-1, influenza, Zika, Rotavirus, and SARS-CoV-2. I have successfully secured and led multiple NIH-funded projects to design and evaluate vaccine candidates in small animal models, using a variety of molecular biology, immunology, and biochemical techniques. I have coordinated and collaborated with research experts in academia and industry and contributed to vaccine development, manufacturing technology transfer, batch production, and quality control. I have published several peer-reviewed papers and presented my findings at national and international conferences.

Senior ScientistNeovaxsyn Incorpored Aug 2022 - Jun 2023Current projects involve the development of a structure-based vaccine against HIV-1 using footprints of broadly neutralizing antibodies as a target epitope. Using a variety of molecular biology, immunology, and biochemical techniques, we study immune responses, (immunogenicity, neutralization, and ADCC activities) mounted by vaccine candidates and adjuvants. -
Research ScientistIowa State University Feb 2020 - Aug 2022Ames, Iowa, UsMy job responsibilities included a review of SOPs, developing new methods, writing reports, and manuscripts, and mentoring graduate students. Experimental and scientific responsibilities were structure-based immunogen design and preclinical evaluation of immunogenicity and neutralizing and non-neutralizing antibody effector functions such as pseudovirus neutralization and ADCC assay. Analysis of T-cell immune responses in small animal model mice and rabbits. -
