Obelix got thrown into a cauldron of magic potion. I got thrown into the Forex market the day the RBI devalued the Rupee back in July 1991 and cut my teeth on trading the D-Mark, Cable, Yen, Swissy and the Rupee till 1995, during my stint in Mumbai. Then I got a chance to apprentice in London under Mr John Percival, a currency fund manager, in the summer of 1995. On a whim, I set up Kshitij Consultancy Services in 1996, with the idea of providing world class forex risk management advice from my hometown, Kolkata. We have done a good amount of satisfying work since then, with many "firsts" to our credit in the Indian forex market, viz:1) Launched India's first forex website www.kshitij.com circa 19962) First to "invent" the 3-day and the 13-day candlestick chart3) First to provide hard-number forecasts for each month from 1 to 12 months.4) First and still the only one to publish a track record of our forecasts, which now has 17+ years of history and a Reliability of 60%5) Evolved a full-fledged forex risk management method called the KSHITIJ Hedging Method, again with a published track record of more than 17 years, which has helped both importers and exporters.
